Kevin Brown
Kevin Brown

Kevin is the President of KB Squared and has more than 30 years of experience in developing mechanical retrofit projects focusing on energy conservation and sustainability. He has developed more than $1 billion in energy savings performance contracts in the MUSH (Municipality, University, School, Hospital) and Federal markets all over the United States. He was appointed to ABM’s Expert Advisory Council in 2020 and helped to build ABM’s Enhanced Facility program. He is a board member and technical advisor to several organizations trying to mitigate climate change. In his current role, he assists clients in achieving and sustaining their energy management and decarbonization goals while maintaining excellent indoor environmental quality (IEQ).

Kevin is an Aerospace Engineer from Auburn University and is proud to serve as Treasurer and board member for the Energy Management Association (EMA). Kevin is also very active in ASHRAE, Chairing TC 2.8 Building Environmental Impacts and Sustainability and serving on the exam committees for HBDP and CDP as well as several technical and standards committees. He holds the following credentials: PE, EMP, HBDP, CEM, CIAQP, CMVP, LEED AP.

E.J. von Schaumburg

EJ has over three decades of experience in telecommunications and a diverse skill set that includes sales, marketing, software product development, operations, distribution, strategic planning, business development, and finance.

EJ previously served as the Co-CEO of Red Bison Technology Group, a company specializing in streamlining the deployment and management of Commercial Real Estate Networks. Before his role at Red Bison, he supported CBRE’s Building Technology Consulting Practice, founded a wireless design and deployment firm, engaged in several startups, and held various positions at AT&T/Lucent Technologies/Bell Labs.

Beyond his corporate roles, EJ is actively involved in the commercial real estate “proptech” industry and community. He is a founding board member of the non-profit organization Building Cyber Security and contributes to the technology advisory board for Realcomm. He holds a BA in Finance from St. Bonaventure University and an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Chris Weilminster
Chris Weilminster

Chris is a seasoned veteran in all aspects of commercial development, operations, asset management, and revenue generation with specific expertise in mixed-use and urban retail projects. With his 29-year tenure with Federal Realty Investment Trust (NYSE:FRT), he possesses a deep understanding of all redevelopment, transaction, and asset value creation aspects of commercial real estate.


Chris led best-in-class operations, asset management, and revenue teams generating double digit rent spreads for 17 consecutive years at Federal Realty. He was also responsible for cross discipline teams in the creation of iconic mixed-use developments including Assembly Row in Somerville, MA; Pike & Rose in North Bethesda, MD; Santana Row in San Jose, CA; Bethesda Row in Bethesda, MD; and Cocowalk in Miami, FL.


Most recently, Chris was Chief Operating Officer at Urban Edge Properties (NYSE:UE) responsible for managing all operations and driving redevelopment activity for the portfolio.
